Bogyoke Aung San Market - where one may find on sale some clothes, jewelry, textile and souvenir items. Bargaining is acceptable. It is located a on Bogyoke Aung San Road opposite Traders Hotel.
Nampan Market - located near Inle Lake with plenty of shops selling local handicrafts and wood carvings.
Theingyl Zei - tagged as market for locals although tourists can go and buy among the selections of household utensils, textiles, herbs, local crafts and traditional medicines. Located along the inner area of Yangon City.

Zawgyi - a restaurant serving an inexpensive eclectic menu, a mixture of Western, Asian and Burmese food. It is located near the Bogyoke market.
Golden City Chetty - inexpensive Indian food with some vegetarian dishes. Near the Sakura Tower and Bogyoke Market and one will pass by if coming from Sule Pagoda.
