The Grand Palace

The Grand Palace,a.k.a Wat Phra Kaew, was once home to the Royal Family but is now only housing goverment offices and is used sometimes for some ceremonies. It is one of the various Thai collection of temples and palaces which boasts of historical intricate design dating to 18th century. The temples and buildings' edifice, paintings and the various statues are a treasure to behold. The golden pointed structure, Chedi,whih can be seen even from outside the gate is believed to house a breastbone of Buddha.Proper dress code is observed.

Getting there: : Address is at Na Phra Lan Road, Ko Rattanakosin District, Bangkok 10500 Thailand

Ordinary buses 44, 47 and 91 stop on Thaiwang road between Wat Pho and Wat Phra Kaew. Ordinary buses 1, 25, 44, 47, 82 and 91 also stop on Maharat road, on the west of Wat Phra Kaew

Opening hours: Tickets sold 8:30am-3:30pm Mon-Sun

Entrance fee: THB 250
