Summer Palace in Beijing, China

Located in the Haidian District, 15 kilometers from Central Beijing. It had served several dynasties although it had been destroyed and rebuilt a number of times. The palace and its gardens had served many royal families giving them relaxation and entertainment. By 1911 it was open to the public as well.
Open Hours: Daily 7 a.m.-5 pm
Getting there: Taxis and buses can be ridden going there.
