Sri Lanka's Railways

Sri Lanka's railway has several stations with most having a line to Colombo. Almost every town and city have a station although some may not be functional at some moments due to bombings and terroristic acts. There are about 92 stations presently. Six stations are under construction or are being proposed still. Below are the main stations of each province:


Northern Province - Jaffna (currently out of use due to bombing)

North Central Province - Habarane

North Western Province- Puttalam

Eastern Province - Chenkaladi

Central Province - Kandy

Western Province - Colombo

Uva Province - Badulla

Sabaragamuwa Province - Ratnapura (still under contruction)

Southern Province - Galle and Matara
