Dining Places

Angkor Wat

Angkor Cafe - May be a bit expensive for locals with a price of meal of US$ 3-5 but it is a wonderful get away from the heat after touring Angkor Wat. It also has a souvenir shop.

Food Stalls in Angkor Wat - instead of going back to Siem Reap for a meal, it's good to try the cheap food locals prepare in their humble huts. This usually gives tourists more time to tour the temple with less people than taking time to go to the city and back.

Old Market Area

Khemer Kitchen - Cheap good food though service may need some patience. Give a try their pumpkin fried with pork and oven baked potatos.

Dead Fish Tower - better to visit this place in the evening and witness some Cambodian dancing, the Aspara shows. Food is relatively cheap. Try the Thai tom yum goong or Cambodian-style fried rice.

Cafe Indochine - When you are looking for a more sphisticated dining experience, this resto will afford you one. As expected, the ambiance too is included in the bill of good food.

Mandalay Inn Serves good cheap and newly cooked Cambodian meals. It takes time to get served though but you can be sure it didn't just came out of the microwave.
