Pha That Luang

Pha That Luang is a Buddhist stupa considered a national monument in Laos. It was built on the ruins of a Khmer temple. It stands on a hill north-east of the Vientiane center. It has been destroyed in the past but was then restored to its original state. A relic of Buddha is believed to be preserved in it.
