Patan, officially named as Lalitpur, is a major city of Nepal. It is located in the Kathmandu valley along with two other cities, Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. The city is known for its arts and traditional handicrafts. It also excels on agriculture, commerce and tourism. Patan is famous for its cultural and religious arts and architecture, with an abundance of monuments, temples and other cultural sites making it a worthy tourist destination.

Jaulakhel Tibetan Center - a major carpet shop where, aside from purchasing, you can witness an actual weaving of the product.
