Pak Ou Caves

The Pak Ou caves consist of the Tham Ting and Tham Theung, respectively the upper and lower cave. Pak Ou is actually the name of the river in which it is situated alongside. These wonderful caves are only accessible by boat. It is about 2 hours of upstream travel from Luang Prabang center. It is famous for its collection of Buddha images that reach up to 4,000 and dating several decades.
