Being the former southern capital for several dynasties ruling China, Nanjing has become culturally and historically enriched. Various notable structures and monuments dot the city. The city is sometimes also called its olden days name, Nanking.

Sights to See
Palace of the Heavenly Kingdom set on a lake and the Xu Yuan Garden, this 600 structure has served as a residence to the Ming prince and was used later by other government officials. Address is at 292 Changjiang Lu.
Sacred Avenues - a walkway in the Zhongshan Mountain National Path. One path has huge stone animals like camels, elephants and horses on the side. Further on at another path are statues of civil and military officials.
Lin Gu Temple - also in the area of San Yet-sun's mausoleum. Aside for being known for the pagoda, it also draws crowd during the Flower blooming season when the natural perfume
Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Mausoleum - offers a picturesque view of the area as it is set atop a hill. The building at the top is called Sacrificial Hall which one reaches after climbing 392 stairs. There is a marble statue of the leader in a vault north of the Hall.
Xiaoling Tomb - several structures dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

Bella Napoli just by the name you'd know they serve Italian cuisine and is good relief when one gets fed up with Chinese food.
Yin Shi Tang Bao rather famous with locals and can make one wait in queue for some time. It is one good assurance thought that their dumpling is good and is worth the wait. It is located in Hu Nan Road
Henry's Home a western style Restaurant serving international cuisine. Price is inexpensive and can spend less than $10 for a full meal.
Fu Zi Mao located near the Confucius Temple where BBQ is a big hit even among locals. They serve vegies, fish and meat.
Street food - stalls on streets sell various Chinese snacks. Some can be found along Ma Tai Jie near Hu Nan Road.
