Monas National Monument

A number of museums can be found in it including a Freedom Hall which portrays the nation's struggle for independence. The basement features several windows where one gets to see the transition of Jakarta from the hands of the colonizers towards its development. Visiting the monument during early morning hours spares one from heat of the sun and the chance to see locals doing their exercise and sports.
