There are two systems that traverses the main roads of Manila.

  • Light Rail Transit (LRT)- has two lines the purple and yellow. the Yellow line travels the Taft Ave., with various stations between Baclaran and Monumento. The other from Santolan to Avenida, passing through Marikina.


  • Metro Rail Transit (MRT) travels the EDSA road, starting from North Ave. of Quezon City, to Taft Ave., of Pasay City where one can transfer to the LRT Yellow line via the Star Mall. The MRT also intersects with the purple line in one its station - the Araneta Center-Cubao. All in all, it has thirteen stations, five of which are near,if not directly attached to malls or department stores.

Usually, when one buys the ticket, you will see the stations that the train will pass.
