Mandalay Hill

A major landmark of the city by which the city got its name. It offers a good view of the city, the prominent attractions and of the sunrise or sunset. Tourist have several options to reach to top: climb 1729 stairs, escalator, cars or buses. It gets crowded especially as sunset is approaching as it is the most conducive time to avoid the heat of the day and to watch an unfolding beauty.

Extra Tip: shoes are to be left at the bottom or placed in bag. If you leave in the bottom, make sure you come down the same way.
