Central Market (Zeigyo) - a one stop shop where one may find fabrics, jewelries, house wares, and spices.


Pyin U Lwin Market - located in the center of town north of Mandalay. Several wares, decors, accessories, bags, handicrafts and antiques can be seen on sale here.


Jade market - located along the 38th and 86th intersection where the kyawzu and Minthazu villages share to sell jades in various forms and grades are sold.

Mandalay Hill Resort Hotel - Aside from the wonderful hilltop view and large pool, these former Novotel has become aged.

Croxton House offers clean and inexpensive rooms and is located in the Pyin U Lwin Road Circle.


A.D. 1 Hotel - least expensive guesthouse with fan-ventilated rooms. Location is between 87th & 88th , 27th & 28th road Eindawya Sintanda St., East of Eindawya Pagoda.


Dining Places

Min Min Chinese Restaurant - by the name you'd know they serve Chinese/Dim Sum. Meals are relatively inexpensive . Address is at #194 , 83rd st. Bet 26th & 27th Mandalay, Myanmar.


Lashio Lay Restaurant - serves local cuisine where one can choose and point what he likes and have it cooked. Price is about average. Location is between 83rd and 84th sts, next to Classic Hotel.


Street vendors several can be seen around tourist spots selling some snacks for the hungry travelers.


The Green Elephant - an impressively built classy restaurant although it is on the high end. Food served are a variation of Burmese, Indian and Thai. Located between 64th & 65th Street Aung Daw Mu Quarter Mandalay, Myanmar.
