This Malaysian city whose name means "muddy estuary" has undergone a major metamorphosis to a bustling and an energetic capital city of Malaysia. It had a rapid rise of building structures while the country was under the British rule, which were luckily spared during WWII. In the morning, tourists can get busy with the museums, markets, galleries, and cultural agenda while the evenings can be spent on clubbing and watching some performances.

- Petronas Twin Tower Was once the tallest building until 2004 when Taipei 101 beat its height.
- Sunway Lagoon Theme Park - Have fun and enjoy the waters and rides. It is a recommendable family destination.

Madam Kwan- among the popular restaurants in KLLC although has some other outlets in Bangsar Telawi, and Mid Valley Megamall. They serve Malaysian as well as other Asian cuisine. Famous dishes are nasi lemak, nasi Bojari and curry fish head. Food is similar to the ones sold on streets but is more expensive as you are paying for the clean and comfortable ambience and the assurance of hygienic preparation.
KL (Menara) Tower Restaurant - a revolving restaurant that offers a great view of the city. Some kind of dress code is observed so do not wear shorts. Many find food not so satisfactory so it is more of the sight that brings people in.
