Pavilion Rim Kwai Hotel - Offers great views but has seen its better days and is in need of some repairs. Located far from town as well. Address is 79/2 Ladya-Erawan Road, Amphur Muang, Kanchanaburi 71190, Thailand.

River Kwai Hotel - located at the city center so most tourist spots are just around the area. Food can be pretty expensive but just across the road are plenty of eateries. Address is 284/3-16 Saeng Chuto, Road Muang, Kanchanaburi 71000, Thailand.

Budget & Backpackers' Lodge

Sam's River Raft House - a very inexpensive place to stay right over the river but offer is very basic though. Address is at 48/1 Rong Heep Oil Rd., west of the train station.

Jolly frog Backpackers - rooms are more spacious and offer choices of a/c or fan rooms. Offers good view of Kwai River as well. Address is at 28 Soi China, off the Mae Nam Khwae, a few meters on the left.Website may be checked at www.jollyfrog.net

Jolly Frog - Aside from inexpensive lodging, they also offer inexpensive and extensive menu. Ambiance is nothing special but the food is authentically Thai- spicy. Location is at 28 Soi China, Mae Nam Kwae.
