Sights to See

State Secretariat Building (Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim)- a brown fort atop a hill that houses state government offices. Its Anglo-Indo architecture design tends to remind of the British India colonial years.


Royal Abu Bakar Museum and the Grand Palace- Spacious grounds, interesting architecture and interior layout and some historical collection makes this a worthy place to visit.


Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque - A blue top mosque situated on a hill. Together with its four Moorish style towers at its four corners, the mosque never fails to draw attention to its grand architecture.


City Downtown - a tour of the town along Jalan Wong Ah Fook would reveal various temples -Sikh Temple, Hindu Temple (Sri Mariamam), street stalls and supermarkets.



Shopping Spree

City Square Mall frequented by Singaporeans because of the cheap price compared to theirs and is located very near the Causeway. However, prices here may be quite expensive compared to other malls in the city.

Plaza Pelangi Easy accessibility as well as worthy items to buy makes it a famous mall. It houses lots of stores selling clothes, bookstores, goldsmiths, and eating places.

Tepian Tebrau Hawker Centre a roadside group of foodstalls which not only offers the Malaysian hawkers' food but also a good parking space.
