Being the capital and largest city of Indonesia, it had served as seat to various Kingdoms dating back to the fourth century. It had become the center for trade, politics, and various infrastructures. Because of the growing economy, Jakarta had attracted locals of other parts of the Java Island to migrate to the city and make it a melting pot of the different Indonesian culture and languages.

Pondok Indah Mall- A classy shopping arcade which is a favorite among the rich and influential residents of Jakarta. Many famous brands sold but prices here may be a bit high. Plaza Indonesia - Home to merchandise of designer brands like Ferragamo, Versace, Escada. It is at the center of Jakarta and is overlooks the Welcome Monument. The food court in it is quite famous also.
