Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi

The Tortoise Tower, Rising Sun Bridge, and Ngoc Son Temple are some of the sites to see around the lake aside from the usual tranquil views that the park has to offer. The lake's name which means Lake of Restored Sword, is derived from a legend of a tortoise ,believed to be living in the lake,giving a Vietnamese emperor a sword to fight off Chinese invaders.

Open Hours: Daily, the temple is only open 8 a.m. yo 5 p.m.
