Here lies the greatest leader of Vietnam who is considered a national hero for reuniting the country. Tourists and locals line in queues each morning to have a glimpse of the corpse of "Uncle Ho". Although the former leader would have preferred cremation, his people had built him the mausoleum as well as a park and museum instead. Admission is free but strict compliance to the rules should be observed so as not to be reprimanded by the guards.

Note: The Vietnamese revere their leader and expect any foreigner visiting the place to show some respect. Please make sure you are dressed properly- no shorts or short skirt, no shoulders showing off, no hats. Cameras and mobile phones are not allowed.
